New Life Worship Center Lighting Repairs and Upgrades
New Life Worship Center located in Dayton Ohio has worked with Markland AVM on many upgrades over the years and also suffered a lightning strike that took out all of their network and most of their audio/video equipment. When we received the call about the strike we were able to arrive the same week with replacement switches to get their network up and running as well as providing a rental system that would allow them to continue to operate and have service while the replacement system was designed and installed. Pastor Thomas Friend was exceptional to work with and requested we look at any improvements that could be made during the system repairs.
The project required an entire Wifi network replacement and this was accomplished with the install of new Ubiquiti wireless AP's and Cisco switches. The existing sound system consisting of a Yamaha LS9-32 Board, JBL DriveRack PA speaker management system, recently installed Digital Audio Labs LiveMix Personal monitoring system (replacing a old HearBack System), EV monitors and JBL subs was replaced with a new Dante enabled system! The new system includes an Allen & Heath GLD112 coupled with an AR2412 and AR168 digital stage boxes for a total of 48 inputs and 24 outputs all available via the Dante expansion card to the audio network. The LiveMix personal monitoring system was replaced in kind with the analog input module being replaced with a Dante interface allowing exceptional monitoring control and extensive routing capabilities. Speaker management into the existing Renkus-Heinz loudspeakers and new EV EKX 18sp subs is being handled by an Ashly Protea 3.6 as well as providing tuning for the new EV EKX 12p monitor wedges. Rounding out the rack are 4 added Shure QLXD wireless systems integrated with the existing 6 wireless channels in operation complete with distribution system and DPA d:fine headset mic paired with the body pack. All of the stage sources are connecting to the stage boxes via new ACE Backstage custom floor boxes strategically placed throughout the stage with integrated power and connections for future updates. Lastly the Dante system is routed to support multi track recording, output via Radial's Dante RX box to the Vaddio PTZ Video system and setup for receiving audio from diverse programs for differing applications such as Skype Conferencing using the A/V systems in the sanctuary.
This project was a complex combination of integrating existing systems that survived and finding the best improvements to make that provide future proofing without starting from scratch. The end result is a system that offers amazing routing and expansion capabilities while keeping a clean stage and ease of flexibility.
